The same principle applies to professional development: engaging in specialized courses, learning advanced techniques, and deepening client-centered care, ensuring that therapists don’t just work, but thrive. My small, focused class sizes allow for deeper discussions, personalized instruction, and hands-on experiences that elevate skills to the next level.
Continued education is the nectar that keeps the hive strong, sustaining therapists throughout their careers. Whether exploring new modalities or refining intuitive touch, the journey of learning never truly ends—it evolves. Just as bees venture beyond the hive to gather wisdom from the world, so too must therapists embrace lifelong education to remain adaptable, inspired, and at the forefront of healing.
Classes are presented as "beginner-level" for newly licensed Massage Therapists, Massage Externs, and students. Seasoned Therapists are also welcome to attend!

Improving Palpatory Refinement Skills

Learn how to identify trigger points and adhesions by touch, work the areas effectively, and address the surrounding areas. You'll also be able to work more specifically & efficiently, with better pressure control.
Secure Draping Techniques & Predator Intervention Model
Learn proper & secure draping techniques for various positions and extremity placement. The"Predator Intervention Model" will help you to feel better prepared in the event that a client is inappropriate.
Detailed Neck Routine
Learn how to provide a comprehensive neck routine that covers all the muscle groups in the anterior and posterior neck region, plus supporting muscle groups.
Deep Dive into the Shoulder
Students will learn how to provide a detailed and effective shoulder routine that can be offered as a stand-alone or in-treatment service. Includes deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point, and stretch work for the entire neck and shoulder attachments. Massage techniques will be applied around the entire shoulder and corresponding attachments.
Deep Dive into the Low Back & Hips
Students will learn how to provide a detailed and effective low back & hip routine that can be offered as a stand-alone or in-treatment service. Includes deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point, and stretch work for the lower back and hip attachments. Massage techniques will be applied to the muscles of the lower back & hips, including the erector spinae group and hamstrings, with specific attention to piriformis and psoas.
Special Populations: Side Lying
This class discusses the various reasons why side-lying massage would be an appropriate option for a client, such as osteoporosis, vertigo, pregnancy, post-op, positional access, and more. Students will learn how to properly drape a client who is positioned on their side, so that just the work area is exposed and the client feels secure.
Sports Massage & Muscle Taping
Students will learn how to do a thorough intake and assessment with an athletic client, determine the needs and goals of the session, apply massage techniques, provide assisted stretching, and integrate muscle tape to extend the value of their work.

Medical Massage 1: Assessment & Documentation
Students will learn how to do a thorough intake and assessment of a client who is medically sensitive, has a complicated health issue, or requires the supervision of a medical provider. Students will be able to establish and communicate the goals of the session and apply massage techniques and/or assisted stretching to a targeted area. Students will also learn how to write SOAP notes so that they can collaborate with the client's health provider.
Medical Massage 2: Treatment & Planning
Students will learn how to use their intake and assessment notes to apply massage techniques and/or assisted stretching to a targeted area. This will enable them to confidently treat specific targeted areas to supplement their client's regular care in order to increase their relief and recovery.
Special Populations: Pediatrics
Students will learn how to ask the appropriate questions and listen with intention so that their pediatric clients & care givers will feel heard, respected, and safe. They will learn how to take the information acquired during the pretreatment interview, provide a client-centered treatment, share post-treatment feedback, and offer a treatment plan based on the needs and goals shared by the client/parent.
Using Essential Oils in Your Massage Treatment
Students will learn about the various plant families, extraction methods, and uses of essential oils. How to use essential oils safely, and how to create an effective blend to achieve the goal of their clients. Students will also learn how to create an Aromatherapy treatment protocol that includes dry buff exfoliation, massage, and an optional body wrap.
